USA Volleyball Partners With NCSA

Back in 2017, USA Volleyball decided to form an official partnership with NCSA. You may be wondering what the implications are and how that really affects you and your volleyball career.

NCSA is Next College Student Athlete, a recruiting services platform. Being chosen as a partner by USA Volleyball is a huge vote of confidence by the nation’s highest level program in the volleyball world.

You may be wondering – why does USA Volleyball need a recruiting partner at all?

Why Does USA Volleyball Partner With NCSA?

Just like college programs, USA Volleyball has to use some kind of process to scout, evaluate, and recruit potential athletes to play at the highest levels. Although USA Volleyball is a very large, expansive organization that reaches across the entire American volleyball system, they do seek to funnel the very top athletes to play on the national teams to compete on the world stage.

When they chose to partner with NCSA, that is a major endorsement on the highest level.

So the thing to understand here, is that USA Volleyball is not simply the Team USA volleyball teams you see at the Olympics, that’s only a part of their mission. Their goal is to promote volleyball at all levels throughout the country by governing teams, clubs, and leagues. They sponsor and organize tournaments as well as camps.

Team USA is only part of the scope of USA Volleyball
